Estoi
An area which is located 9 km North West of Faro, which is famous with the pink palace and gardens. This area is very beautiful tourist destination, very unfortunate if you do not visit it.

Faro
The city is the capital of the Algarve. The city is surrounded by walls built in the Roman era. There are only three roads into this city. You can visit the Roman-Gothic cathedral and the Infante Dom Henrique Museum.

Albufeira
With the cost of 20 Euro, you can follow the half-day tour with a bus from Albufeira to view the most western tip of the Iberian Peninsula, not far from the town of Sagres. The Romans and Moors assume most southwestern tip of Europe, the Cabo de Sao Vicente, is the world’s end. Tourist can find the lighthouse which surrounded the fort and the buildings former Franciscan monastery. At Sagres, not only old castle, you also can find a compass wind with a diameter of 43 meters above the ground which is believed as creation of Henry and be guidance for Portuguese sailors to sailed the vast ocean to the west in the past.

Loule
Loule is located 12 km from the coast is an inland area of the Algarve coast. The streets are filled with flower decoration and handicraft sellers.

Serra de Monchique
Very interesting places to visit in the spring or summer because there are rare plants growing on this hill.

Silves
A visit to the Algarve will not be complete if you don’t visit the city of Silves, 25 km northwest of Albufeira. With commute bus ticket 7.50 euros from Albufeira, you can explore the town of Silves for several hours. During the Moorish occupation, Silves which is located in Monchique Mountains had been a capital of the Algarve and is known as “the birthplace of Arab Andalusian poetry.” One of the governors of the Algarve, Al Mu’tamid, in the 11th century, make a poem for Silves, which inscriptions can still be found in Silves. Archaeological Museum of Silves with is one of the Moorish culture history witnesses.

Lagos
In Lagos, you can see the normal life of the residents of Portugal and the harbor filled with sailboats. Apart from a stretch of white sandy beaches filled with sunbathing tourists and the hills of ocher-colored rock that is very exotic, especially in Praia Dona Ana Beach, Lagos city filled with traces of Portuguese maritime history. There is a location of the first slave market in Europe. On the tongues of men, Nuno, one of Henry’s explorers first brought slaves from the Sahara in 1441 to Lagos. One of the places that unfortunately passed in Lagos is the Church of Santo Antonio attached with Lagos Museum.

Baroque 18th-century, the Church of Santo Antonio was built after the devastating earthquake and tsunami in 1755 destroyed the city of Lisbon and the southern coastal towns of the Algarve, including Lagos. Filled with gilded wood carvings, the bottom wall of the church was closed azulejos blue and white tiles, one traces the influence of Moorish culture. Azulejos then developed and become one of the features of Portuguese architecture.

Ferragudo
This area was once the local fishermen. Not too many tourists who visit here.
